Innocence Project - New Orleans

Picture

The mission of the Innocence Project New Orleans (IPNO) is to free innocent prisoners, expose injustice and prevent wrongful convictions.  The organizations represents innocent prisoners serving life sentences in Louisiana and Mississippi.

In light of this mission, CUNY interns investigate and litigate on behalf of people who have been wrongfully convicted of felonies. The work of IPNO highlights the social conditions affecting such wrongful convictions, such as racism and economic injustice. Interns conduct field research for evidence that can be presented at trial.
